Emotions are big while its plot is bigger, yet it's never sensational or convoluted. Instead, it's an eternal spectacle that anyone can appreciate. There's heavy exposition, a packed narrative, one-dimensional characters, and a platitudinous conclusion, but these are outweighed by the remarkable union of grandeur alongside intimacy. Themes of vengeance, guilt, loss, and dedication are consistent. Ranging from intensity to vulnerability, the humanizing performances are graceful anchors. Consequently, The Odyssey succeeds outright.
