Ready or Not 2 is adequate. Exposition muddles its otherwise concise premise. Instead of cat-and-mouse tactics, the plot juggles excessive characters. While the drama develops motivations, they can seem shoehorned. Its classism satire and themes around abandonment make for arbitrary companions. Through a few pivotal choices, the protagonist undergoes a vaguely defined arc. None of this comes together as a cohesive whole, but at least its individual pieces are competent. There's predictability, spotty jokes, minor setup/payoff, and decent resolution. Though mostly one-note, its acting brings intensity, humor, and vulnerability. Thus, Ready or Not 2 has an average story.

Technically, Ready or Not 2 is more proficient yet still generic. Despite its horror-comedy tone, the direction becomes monotonous. Often looking drab or basic, the cinematography contributes little of note. Inside a compact runtime, its editing provides (mediocre) action, comedic timing, and diminishing momentum. Violence as well as subjective moments are reinforced by the soundscape. Its music places forgettable scoring alongside engaging needle drops. The production design feels very much like a retread. Its cast features a wider range of recognizable talent. The effects support abundant blood with underwhelming CGI. Overall, Ready or Not 2 is inoffensively redundant.
