Totally Killer adequately functions as mindless entertainment. Its premise is a mixture of familiar tropes, leaning much more towards derivative than creative. There's blunt dialogue, exposition dumps, middling comedy, major contrivances, predictable formulas, shallow emotions, rampant pop culture references, a cliche villain, and underwhelming slasher elements. The falling action abruptly ends because there are no arcs or themes to resolve. Its acting is boxed in by the script but manages solid charisma, chemistry, and flashes of vulnerability. Overall, Totally Killer goes as broad as it can, really only valuing its humor (which isn't particularly good, but it's decent enough).
Technically, Totally Killer is average. Its tone is almost entirely comedy, only touching on horror, sci-fi, and drama beats out of obligation. The sound adds stings, smash cuts, violence, and brief emphasis. Its mostly standard music uses "The Lady In Red" constructively. The production design offers a forgettable slasher and generic 80s. Its cast is led by a skilled up-and-comer but its fame and depth are limited. The cinematography is largely basic, the editing rarely elevates the material, and the digital effects are unconvincing. Ultimately, Totally Killer doesn't exhibit any intolerable flaws but it doesn't provide any excellence either, making it neither good nor bad.
